August 2025 Call For Comms/Social Media Committee Volunteers

The final piece of our board restructure includes the creation of a new committee for communications and social media support.
BG seeks approximately three supporters to assist the Communications Officer with maintaining our social media presence, website, and other communications as needed. Supporters volunteering for these roles will not be required to serve on the Board of Directors in any capacity. Instead, this new committee will support the Communications Officer by helping generate and distribute content. We are particularly interested in welcoming someone with video editing and/or motion graphics experience into the fold.
Basic committee member responsibilities include the following:
Assist with creation and publication of social media content as part of schedule managed by Communications Officer
Publish relevant, engaging posts to social channels on an ad hoc basis
Collaborate with Communications Officer to identify new opportunities for website and social content
At present, much of our regular content relates to match days and other events. The newly-established committee will focus on everything else: great moments at the pub, news relevant to Arsenal supporters, and anything else deemed of interest to our fellow Gooners.
Self-nomination for these roles will accepted until noon EDT on Monday, 11th August via the contact form. Anyone with an interest in helping Boston Gooners’ social media and content strategies and execution is encouraged to self-nominate. The Board will inform those selected for the committee prior to the season opener on 17th August.
