Arsenal v Liverpool in Philadelphia

For those Boston Gooners planning to attend the (not so) friendly against Liverpool in Philadelphia, we have a few announcements:

BG has set up a short information form we'd like our traveling supporters to fill out so we have a sense of who's coming from Boston prior to the weekend. It will also allow us to connect as a group on both the day before the match (Tue 30 July), and match day itself (Wed 31 July). Please take a moment to fill out the form by clicking this link. BG will create a WhatsApp group for those heading to the match using the information we receive from the form. Please download the app if you don't currently have it on your smartphone. This will allow us to communicate with our contingent in real time during the various events and match itself, to arrange things like group photo opportunities, or to address any issues that may emerge while we're all there. We will not share your information or use it for any other purpose. For those driving and willing to volunteer any available space in your car, or if you're heading to the match and haven't arranged transportation yet, please let us know by filling out the previously-mentioned information form. BG makes no guarantee we will be able to match ride-seekers with those who may have an extra seat, but we will try. Supporters are ultimately responsible for finalizing any arrangements after a potential match, but we wanted to provide a place for Gooners to offer and find rides.

For those planning to be in Philadelphia the day prior to the match (Tue 30 July), Arsenal Philadelphia will be hosting a panel discussion and "Unhinged Philly Photo Tour" at World Cafe Live (3025 Walnut St), and will feature Poorly Drawn Arsenal, Andrew Mangan (Arseblog), James McNicholas (The Athletic, Gunnerblog, Arsecast Extra), and more. The event starts at 7.30p and will be followed by a live Q&A session then live music and dancing until 11p. While this event is sold out, there is a waiting list. Following this event, an afterparty will be held at Arsenal Philadelphia's home pub, Misconduct Tavern (1801 JFK Blvd [Logan Square], NOT 1511 Locust St [Center City]) On match day at 5p, Arsenal Philadelphia will host a ticketed, catered tailgate party at Xfinity Live, located across the street from Lincoln Financial Field. IMPORTANT NOTE: supporters are entirely responsible for their own transportation to and from Lincoln Financial Field. The SEPTA Broad Street Subway Line will be the best option for most. Exit at the last southbound stop, AT&T Station.

In addition to public transit, an Uber/Lyft will run approximately $20 from Center City to the Sports Complex.

For those interested in watching the US summer tour matches at Dillon's, please note: BG will not screen Arsenal v Bournemouth on 24 July due to the match being played in Los Angeles and kicking off at 10.30p EDT on a Wednesday. We will have a normal screening of Arsenal v Manchester United at Dillon's on Sat 27 July. The match with Liverpool on Wednesday, 31 July will be available at Dillon's as an unofficial event.
