Match Details
Parting is such sweet sorrow. Especially when there’s a chance Arsenal go into the unprecedented World Cup break at the top of the table. In their last match for six weeks, the Gunners hit the road to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers. The West Midlands side have struggled to score goals for the second year running, leaving them 19th and costing Bruno Lage his job. This match marks the first for his replacement, former Real Madrid and Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui. New manager bounce or not, Wolves have been a tough opponent since their 2018 return to the Premier League, winning 3 and drawing 2 of the last 8 matches between these sides. Their last meeting was a memorable one, with Arsenal snatching the points at the death via a José Sá own goal, courtesy of Alex Lacazette.
Folks, this is it until Christmas, and we have a midafternoon kick-off on a Saturday. On top of that, the table reads the way it does. If that isn’t a good enough reason to fill Dillon’s, we don’t know what is. It’s a perfect day to head over early, stick around afterward, and enjoy the company of your fellow Gooners.
