Four games left in the season. All Arsenal can do is their part: win and keep the pressure on. Any slip from City, and we can dream. But for now, we have a North London Derby, and this one will significantly affect the outlook of both teams’ views of their season.
Arsenal, fresh off the thrashing of Chelsea, now face a Sunday trip to the Toilet Bowl where they face the shittest team in the land: Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs will come into this match very fresh, having had weeks off to relax and prepare for their rivals. Currently, they are fifth, with a six point gap to fourth and two games in hand. Most recently, they were thumped 4-0 by Newcastle. They have won just two of five as well. That being said, they’ll be fully fit, rested, and ready to attack Arsenal and get their crowd behind them. A loss here would make a top four finish extremely difficult for Spurs. One thing is for sure: they will attack and play a suicidal high line.
Arsenal know what awaits them. It’s really that simple. They’ll have to exploit the space they’re given and take their chances. There will be chances. Arteta will be hoping Trossard and Havertz continue their scoring form in the run-in. In addition, Saka, Ødegaard, and new scoring outlet Cafu, we mean Ben White, will need to perform at the highest level to get all three points.
