Before the lads can jet off to international duty, they have one more match to handle in red and white. Arsenal visit Sunderland on Saturday, hoping to keep their league lead healthy. Fresh off a 3-0 thrashing of Slavia Prague in Europe, Mikel Arteta's men will be determined to put a stranglehold on the top spot. They have kept eight consecutive clean sheets across all competitions. They will, however, be without five first team forwards and their creative captain in midfield at the weekend. For any team, this has a tendency of catching up eventually. The Gunners will be confident they have enough for three points before nursing their wounds and swelling their ranks before the North London Derby later this month.

Sunderland, sporting three wins in their last five, have climbed to fourth in the PL table. Without a loss at home yet this season, the Black Cats will come into the weekend feeling confident. Former Arsenal Captain, Granit Xhaka, has returned to England in fine form. Enzo Le Fee, Nordi Mukiele, and Brian Brobbey will be key players across the pitch. Notably, former Hale Ender, Daniel Ballard, has become a mainstay of their defense, as well as a threat on set pieces. Known for their defensive structure, this could be another tough nut for Arsenal to crack away from home.
