After a midweek victory against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup, Arsenal travel to Nottingham Forest to continue their march towards the Premier League title. Mikel Arteta will be hoping for his side have the legs to get all three points.
Nottingham Forest come into the contest sitting in 17th place. Most recently, they were dumped out of the FA Cup by Wrexham. They have lost four of their last five in the league. This will be a much different side to the one who came to The Emirates earlier in the campaign—Sean Dyche is the antithesis of Big Ange. But the players will largely be the same. Chris Wood will miss out with an injury, but Forest carry plenty of threat through Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Arsenal will be playing their third game in seven days. Any away day in the PL is a tough one, and Forest will make this difficult. The Gunner are unbeaten in the league since their trip to Aston Villa in early December, most recently drawing 0-0 with Liverpool. There will likely be light rotation in this one, with Gabriel Martinelli, Mikel Merino, and Myles Lewis-Skelly hoping for starts. Eberechi Eze may also get a look in. Whoever plays, Arsenal will need to take their chances. If they go behind, it could be a long day at the office.
Will Arsenal push through any fatigue and secure the points? Or can Forest frustrate the visitors and dent their title hopes? We’ll be at Dillon’s on Saturday afternoon, and we hope you’ll join us and lend your voice to the cause!
