As ever, no rest for the weary. Fresh off a draw in Italy, Arsenal return to the Premier League with the small matter of a visit to Manchester City. The Gunners unsurprisingly look like a team trying to work out how to play without their creative midfield star. Mikel Arteta will need to find solutions, and fast. The game likely comes too soon for Ethan Nwaneri to come into midfield, so it’s likely Havertz will continue in the eight. Arteta will hope Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli can provide threat in wide areas. It could, like last weekend, come down to a set piece. All it takes is one perfect chance, as we learned last weekend. Through four matches, Arsenal sit two points behind the Citizens, who have claimed maximum points. That being said, they also come into the match following a draw in Italy against Inter.

As for the Citizens, the story of their season so far has been Erling Haaland. With nine league goals already, the Norwegian is in stellar form even by his own standards. He will be the one to watch at the weekend. Still, City are City. There are stars two-deep in every position. Pep is Pep. Charges are charges. Kevin De Bruyne is a possible miss for City, but these are likely mind games. Phil Foden and Rodri, still at the start of their seasons after being nursed back from the Euros (Foden went?), will be hoping to make an impact. What can you say? It will be the toughest match of our season in the league. We know this. They know this.

This weekend will be very much a case of "Immovable Object versus Unstoppable Force". Haaland is Haaland. Arsenal have yet to concede a single goal with eleven men on the pitch. So who blinks? Join the best supporters in Boston at Dillons to see what promises to be a true tactical chess match. It’s been a long week for the squad, and they’ll need us louder than ever. These are the efoggin’ standards.
