PL: Liverpool v Arsenal

A title decider in match week 3? No. But it is a massive test. Arsenal travel to Merseyside for their annual trip to Anfield, where they have drawn in three successive years. Is this the year they do it? Maybe. After battering Leeds 5-0 at the weekend, the Gunners look to carry their momentum into their date with the champions.

Liverpool ended up winning an ultimately insane Monday night fixture at Newcastle (the Alexander Isak derby). Here's what we know: despite a dubiously late winner up a man, their defense looks shakier than we've come to expect. Further, they will enter this match without their first two choices at right back. However, new signings Florian Wirtz and Hugo Eketike had impressive debuts and their progress will be crucial if Arne Slot's side have any chance at repeating for the title.

Arsenal will face the Reds without Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka, with the latter out for a few weeks after picking up a knock against Leeds. Martin Ødegaard is expected to be fit but will face a late test on his shoulder injury. Mikel Arteta will look for new signings Viktor Gyökeres and Noni Madueke to continue their fine form. We may even see a debut for... Eberechi Eze... at Anfield(!) Defensive solidity will be key, as it always is against a side with such lethal attackers as Liverpool. The (predicted) platform of Timber, Saliba, Big Gabby, and Calafiori will be the key to a result for the Gunners.
