In a season of overcoming bogey teams and grounds, Arsenal face arguably their biggest challenge of the season on Sunday: Anfield. While this Liverpool side may be stuttering in eighth place, the badge, fans, and history will make this a stern test. The Gunners last won at Anfield in 2012, with a certain Mikel Arteta anchoring the midfield. It’s a test, but like all others, it’s one we can pass–together. Arsenal have won seven in a row in the league. Liverpool on the other hand are coming off a draw to Chelsea and hammering from Manchester City. Their last game at Anfield was a 7-0 drubbing of the other, less-relevant (although quadruple-challenging?), team from Manchester. The Reds sit third in the home form table, having lost just once on Merseyside all season. Arsenal sit atop the away form table. Something has to give.
