Fifth -placed Arsenal visit Chelsea on Sunday, winless in their last three Premier League games. Chelsea sit in fourth, apparently rejuvenated under new manager Enzo Maresca. And let's be honest, they should be rejuvenated having spent $1 billion in transfers since their change of ownership.
Arsenal have struggled recently for open play goals, especially away from home. But there are green shoots from the Inter performance that Arteta will hope continue. Gabriel Jesus looks, slowly, to be coming back into some form. And while goals have dried up, Saka and Martinelli remain threats to any opposition. It's the central spaces the Gunners need to focus on if they hope to reignite their attack. Martin Ødegaard should give Arsenal more minutes after a midweek cameo. Declan Rice, who missed Inter, is expected to return (albeit with a broken toe). And lastly, we'll wait and see if Havertz recovers from the nasty head wound he suffered in Italy. Arsenal have had an insane start to the season, facing many of their rivals away from home– this match will be their fourth in a row away from home in all competitions. But the Premier League doesn't have time for excuses.
Chelsea will be sweating over Cole Palmer's fitness, but they expect him to be fit. The Blues are enjoying life under their new manager. Promising form from Moises Caicedo, Palmer, and Nicholas Jackson, have seem them rise to fourth in the table. Still, frailty in their backline and an unreliable goalkeeper will give Arsenal hope.
Join the best supporters in Boston at Dillon's this Sunday and cheer our Gunners on to victory. We hope to see you!
