PL: Burnley v Arsenal

Turf Moor awaits…

Three words we all love to hear! Arsenal visit Burnley this weekend, with both teams fresh off victories. Arsenal remain top of the table and will expect another low block from The Clarets, who have two wins from their last six in the league. Mikel Arteta’s side will need to be patient, but will be confident of three points.

Scott Parker’s side have performed well so far this season, despite being in 16^th, and will be dreaming of survival. History remains against them for this tie—Burnley have not defeated the first-place side in the PL head-to-head since 1975. Arsenal have also managed to avoid defeat in every PL visit to Turf Moor since 1973. For The Clarets, left-back Quilindschy Hartman is one to watch as a proven creative spark. Lesley Ugochukwu will be the main man in their midfield.

The Gunners know the task ahead of them and they will not be taking the points for granted. It took a fluky last-minute handball for Liverpool to win at Burnley earlier this season, and Mikel Arteta will be hoping not to play the match out in such fine margins. In addition to long-term absentees, Arsenal will likely be without Gabriel Martinelli and possibly William Saliba. With a full midweek off, Viktor Gyokeres will expect to be on the scoresheet.
