League leaders Arsenal visit fifth-place Brighton on Saturday. The Gunners have won all competitive fixtures to start the season, and they’ll be hoping to continue their march with another three points before the international break.
Arsenal completed the double over Brighton last season, and Mikel Arteta will expect his team to be up to the challenge. After heavy rotation and a big scoreline against Ipswich Town in the Carabao Cup midweek, his first eleven will be full of energy and ready to go. The Gunners have been free flowing this season, but ther defense remains their calling card. Ezri Konsa, David Raya, and Riccardo Calafiori have been outstanding, and they’ll need to be at their best on the south coast.
Brighton are fresh off a 5-0 romp of Coventry. The Seagulls have taken seven points from their opening four matches. Fabian Hürzeler's side aim to leverage home turf advantage to hand the title contenders their first stumble of the season. With Pascal Gross and Yasin Ayari, the Seagulls possess ingenuity and creativity in midfield. Despite a convincing win last week, Brighton come into the match with a lengthy injury list, including attached Yankuba Minteh and Kaoru Mitoma.
