After two convincing league wins in a row, Arsenal travel to Brentford for what could be a tricky match. The Bees have been in fine form and sit seventh in the table with three wins in their last five. Keith Andrews has his side organized and dangerous on the counter. Arsenal will have to be at their best to win.
In addition to a sturdy defense and quick counters, Brentford boast a very good set piece record. Right back Michael Kayode has an incredible long throw on him. In attack, striker Igor Thiago has scored 17 league goals already. Kevin Schade will be suspended, but Dango Ouattara has proven equally as potent this year from wide areas.
Arsenal head into this one still atop the table. Mikel Arteta will have a mostly fit squad, but Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard are still likely to miss out. Two successive clean sheets and a fully fit defense mean that Arsenal can lean into their solidity at the back. In attack, there are options and new pairs developing. The return of Kai Havertz has added something new to the forward line, but Arsenal will need to manage him carefully for the run-in.
Will Arsenal march on? Or will Brentford sting their title ambitions? It’s a Thursday afternoon kick-off. You know where to find us. We’ll save you a spot!
