Coming off a dramatic late winner at Kenilworth Road, league-leading Arsenal visit high-flying Aston Villa. Managed by old friend Unai Emery, The Villans have been the surprise package of the Premier League so far, having gone from strength to strength after European qualification last season and currently sitting in fourth. The last team to beat Villa at home was…you guessed it…Arsenal. You may recall a certain Emi Martinez scoring an own goal after a Jorginho strike. Shenanigans aside, this will be as tough a test as we’ve had so far this season. Ollie Watkins and Douglas Luiz have been in scintillating form all season, while newcomer Moussa Diaby has been a sparkplug.
Arsenal’s attack has shown signs of clicking after the return of Gabriel Jesus. The midfield of Rice, Havertz, and Odegaard is really beginning to gel. However, our defense has become a little more open recently. After shipping three goals to Luton and a sloppy goal against Wolves, Arteta will surely want his defense to be airtight this weekend. That starts with the keeper, who had a night to forget on Tuesday.
