PL: Arsenal v West Ham

Arsenal aim to keep up their momentum on Saturday when they host West Ham. Fresh off a late winner against Newcastle, the Gunners face an interesting challenge in the Hammers. West Ham have won their last two Premier League visits to the Emirates. You read that right. Will history repeat itself?

West Ham sit 19th and most recently drew with Everton. It was the first match for new manager Nuno Espirito Santo, formerly of Nottingham Forest. To put it bluntly, they have been awful this season. But with a new manager, perhaps they can continue their hoodoo over Arsenal in this fixture. Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta will offer threat through the counter attack and the home side will need to be wary.

Mikel Artera’s side sit second and can go top with a victory. Viktor Gyökeres looked bright against Newcastle and will be desperate to score. With so many plays chomping at the bit to start, it’s a welcome headache for Arteta. He’ll be expecting a fairly routine performance, but recent history will give him cause for concern.
