It's a new season. Will it be the same story?

Arsenal return to N5 to host Manchester City in a top of the table clash with a whole lot more than three points on the line. On the plus side, the Gunners and Citizens looked fairly evenly matched in the Community Shield, which the good guys of course eventually won on penalties. The defending Treble Winners received their first blemish of the season last weekend, falling 2-1 at Wolves, courtesy of "The Korean Guy". In addition, noted attempted murderer Rodri is ineligible to play as he serves out the second of the 3-match ban he earned for a (surprised face) straight red card against Forest.

On the minus side, Mikel Arteta's side are coming off a decidedly poor midweek performance at RC Lens. Bukayo Saka come off injured early, and his status for this one remains unclear. In the bigger picture, Arsenal haven't managed to get the better of City in a league match since the Obama Administration. Clearly, that needs to change for the boys in red and white in order for the season to reach its true potential. Meanwhile, despite the loss at Molineux, Sheikh Mansour’s Mercenaries are as formidable as ever even with injuries thinning out their ranks. Naturally, they got things back on track in Germany on Wednesday, continuing their perfect start in the Champions League with a late win over RB Leipzig.

Three points aside, both the Gunners and we Gooners alike need this one. The keyboard warriors are out in force at the moment, and a statement victory would go a long way to silencing the doubters. Come on out and join the best supporters in Boston this Sunday to let Mik’s boys know we’re behind them all the way.
