Third-place Arsenal look to get their league campaign back on track after a disappointing draw against Fulham last weekend. They’ll be welcoming Everton to the Emirates on Saturday for some good ol’fashioned Dyche-Ball. To say the Gunners are going through an injury crisis would be an understatement. The season has been one long injury crisis. With few players to choose from, the squad is stretched to the limit, and the players who are picked are looking jaded. While still only six points adrift of Liverpool, it’s beginning to feel like the task is monumental. Arteta will turn to his stalwarts to keep up the fight, and he’ll need Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka, and Kai Havertz to be at their best to break down a stubborn Everton side who will look to counter.
Everton have lost just two of their last five matches. They recently beat up on Wolves, 4-0. Manager Sean Dyche will want to make things difficult for Arsenal, and he’ll be relying on his centre-backs Tarkowski and Branthwaite to marshal the defense. You can count on Jordan Pickford wasting as much time as possible in this one. Arsenal will need to be patient and not give the Toffees a sniff. Dominic Calvert-Lewin will lead the line for Everton, and he’ll be looking to continue his good form.
Will Arsenal return to winning ways? Or will Sean Dyche frustrate the Gunners? Join us on Saturday at Dillon’s for some cheer and good football.
