Easy. Next!
After a critical win in the Midlands, Arsenal return to the friendly confines of N5 to host Brighton & Hove in Saturday's early kick-off. Last time out, a Leo Trossard goal from the bench and a Thomas Partey volley (thank you Emi for once again doing just enough to let the goal in!) were enough to see off a now CL-qualified Aston Villa side. Though it's early days in the new campaign, this surely felt like a significant scalp for the Gunners, who dropped all six points in last season's fixtures against the Villans.
Brighton also come into Matchday 3 on the back of two victories. Their most recent success saw former Gunner and Red Devil Danny Welbeck opening the scoring before Joao Pedro sealed the victory in stoppage time. New boss Fabian Hurzeler has been busy this summer with the Seagulls, who have now spent in excess of $200m. Some of the new faces include Georginio Rutter, Yankuba Minteh, and Mats Wieffer. They join a formidable side bolstered by the return of oft-inured Kaoro Mitoma. The South Coast side have opened the season hot, and Arsenal will need to be alert to get the three points.
Arsenal will hope new signing Mikel Merino makes the bench for this one, as Eddie Nketiah nears a move to Crystal Palace. Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu are expected to miss out. Arsenal will hope to continue their fine form against Brighton, having taken all six points a year ago. Will Mikel Arteta make it three from three? Or will Danny Welbeck be a thorn in his former team's side once again?
If you've joined us this season, you know it's been rocking at Dillon's so far. Yeah, this one is early, but it's the last match for a couple of weeks and an important one to boot. So do whatever you must to rise, shine, and start your Saturday with Boston's best supporters!
