PL: Arsenal v Brentford

Arsenal host Brentford at The Emirates on Wednesday evening. The Gunners finished a hard week with a draw at Stamford Bridge. They remain atop the Premier League and will be eager to put in a performance for their home crowd. Brentford sit tenth in the table after a win over Burnley.

New Head Coach Keith Andrews has kept Brentford solidly mid-table after taking over for Thomas Frank. They are especially strong from set pieces and feature one of the league’s best long throw specialists in Michael Kayode. Old nemesis Jordan Henderson marshals the midfield, while Kevin Schade and Igor Thiago—already on eleven goals—lead their attack. Brentford have proved tricky opposition for most, and they have won three of their last five.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping for more from his squad than he saw against Chelsea. Despite leaving with a point, the Gunners never really got into their rhythm. A late fitness test awaits for William Saliba, whose presence was sorely missed at the weekend. The Arsenal defense, lauded for their clean sheets, has now gone four matches without one. With Leandro Trossard likely to miss this match, there are a number of options for our left-hand side, including Eberechi Eze, who may find himself on the flank with the return of Martin Ødegaard in midfield.
