PL: Arsenal v Bournemouth

Four matches remain in the league, and Arsenal will want to consolidate second place.

It’s not where any of us wanted to be. Europe has captured our dreams, but it’s important not to lose focus domestically. It would be nice to grab three points before Wednesday’s season-defining trip to Paris. Arteta will demand it.

On Saturday, Arsenal host Bournemouth, who come into the match with one win in six. Their season has petered out a bit, but they are still dangerous, as exhibited by their defeat of Arsenal earlier this year. Antoine Semenyo, Evanilson, and Justin Kliuvert will be key to their attack while Dean Huijsen anchors the defense.

Arsenal will rotate where they can. Ben White and Oli Zinchenko will certainly come in. Merino will likely lead the line. Thomas Partey may feature to get minutes ahead of Wednesday. Expect most other positions to split minutes. Arteta knows a win all but confirms second. But with the potential for a heroic European comeback on the horizon, he will prioritize fitness of his stars as much as he can.
